The Global Leadership Development Program (GLDP) is Lucent's program
for mature MBA holders who know where they want to go. Its aim is to
attract, select, and develop new global leaders for the company.
It is NOT a traditional rotational program and you will NOT be
marching in lock-step with your classmates. Rather, you will develop
a three-year career plan with your supervisor and your mentor, who
will be a member of Lucent's senior leadership team. This mentor
will monitor your progress and oversee the implementation of your
career development plan. Your supervisor will provide you with
day-to-day leadership and support you in your assignments, providing
the feedback necessary to gauge your success.
During the program, you will meet with your "class" of GLDP
participants (about 30 people) to discuss challenges and exchange
ideas. This network of GLDP people has proved to be a valuable
resource as participants move up the corporate ladder.
A big part of your success, however, will be up to you. We expect
our GLDP participants to be outstanding performers who demonstrate
leadership and have flexibility when reassignment becomes necessary.

Who Are You?

Global Leadership Development Program Positions
(Minimum of 4 years full-time business experience required)
Account Executive - New Jersey - MBA-BSEE undergraduate - Responsible
for achieving sales results for a full range of products. Account
planning, sales execution, proposal development, quota
management/administration, and general administration.
Manager - New Jersey - MBA - Locate an international site and set-up
a manufacturing plant. This will be a very demanding assignment with
a substantial amount of time spent internationally. The individual
needs to have strong analytical skills, with experience in
manufacturing, contracting, and their prior work experience should
have provided good breadth of exposure to different types of the
business.
Manager, Business Development - New Jersey - MBA - strong M&A
background. Knowledge of current, emerging technology. Responsible
for leadership of business development projects involving
relationships with external organizations which may take the form of:
Joint Venture, Equity Investments, Acquisitions/Divestitures or
Mergers.
SAP Testing Leader - New Jersey - MBA - This position is responsible
for the overall coordination of information systems testing
activities associated with the SAP deployment at Microelectronics,
spanning many separate teams in both Microelectronics and other
corporate groups such as Lucent First, GPO and Payroll.
Joint Venture Controller and JV Partner Support - Orlando - MBA -
Responsible for establishing and maintaining an adequate separation
of duties between Cirent and Lucent activities at the Orlando Lucent
facility )Cirent is owned 51% by Lucent and 49% by Cirrus Logic),
resulting in an independent accounting and tax set of books for Cirent
Semiconductor.
Program/Project Management Manager - New Jersey - MBA - Responsible
for providing leadership and direction to program and project
management teams within the Energy Solutions business Unit. Required
a broad knowledge of Energy Solutions processes, systems and
procedures which interface with market management, product management
and the sales force.
Program Manager - New Jersey MBA-Responsibility for assessing the
information technology financial needs of Microelectronics Group, and
effectively manage the technical and business factors affecting its
financial position.
Product Marketing Manager - Dallas - MBA Point of contact for Power
Systems in implementing the strategy of the business for a product
line in the Power Systems portfolio for assigned market segments.
The individual is required to propose, develop, and implement
effective and efficient marketing strategies that are designed to
increase Power Systems revenue/profitability while attaining customer
satisfaction.
Global Manufacturing Operations Manager - Dallas - MBA -
Globalization experience, preferably in teh Far East or in So.
America. Fluency in a foreign language is required and Portuguese is
preferred. The person should be flexible and a self-starter. An
engineering undergraduate degree is required, and the MBA should be
in the financial/marketing area.
Marketing/Business Development Manager - New Jersey - Responsible for
performing competitive analysis of global Network Service Providers
in the telephone, video wireless, and data industry segments. |
